Visitor Restrictions At Avonlea

8 June 22

7th June 2022 – We have identified a few cases of COVID-19 at Avonlea in Nhill. The family members of the affected residents have been informed and will continue to keep them updated on the well-being of their loved ones.

Due to this development, Avonlea is now an exposure site and we ask that you take the following precautions prior to visiting the home to keep our residents and staff safe:

  • Do not visit Avonlea if you are a close contact with a COVID-19 positive case, feeling unwell or have even the slightest of symptoms.
  • Only one visitor per resident is allowed into the facility and visitors must stay in residents’ rooms.
  • All visitors must provide a negative Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) prior to entering the facility.
  • Visitors will be required to wear Tier 3 PPE at all times inside the facility.

Management has been in contact with the Health Department and will keep you informed of any new developments or visitor requirements should there be any changes.

We will be conducting our next round of testing on all residents on the 9th of June, 2022.
