A new name in aged care

6 September 17

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce Island Care has a new name and brand – Respect Aged Care.

Prior to the change, as Island Care, we had grown to add numerous aged care homes to our family. Today, we have nine homes and two retirement villages across two states. This expansion is something we can all be proud of, as the more we grow, the more valuable services we are able to provide to those who need it. This led our decision to rebrand to a name that better reflects what we do and better represents our ethos.

The Respect name was chosen after a comprehensive and thoughtful marketing process, where we explored our brand essence and positioning statement. We are known for investing in the wellbeing of the elderly because we believe that dignity and respect are basic human rights. Because of this, we provide more than just care. We believe this reflects the core purpose of our organisation – and our new name reflects this.

"We are known for investing in the wellbeing of the elderly because we believe that dignity and respect are basic human rights."

We will also be investing energy and resources into ensuring that everything we do as an organisation and as individuals, upholds Respect. However, the names of our individual aged care homes will remain unchanged as they retain their unique names, histories, cultures and identities.
